Pecan Pie

This Pecan Pie is my Grandma's recipe. I remember as a young child helping her mix it up and baking it for special occasions. I have a lot of wonderful memories cooking and baking my grandma. Now I am doing my best to pass the love of cooking and baking my my family and friends.

Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup Sugar
  • 1 tbsp All Purpose Flour
  • 3/4 cup Karo Syrup (You can use Dark or Light Karo syrup)
  • 2 Eggs (Large Eggs, slightly beaten)
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp Salted Butter
  • 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 1/2-2 cup Chopped Pecans (My grandma only added one cup. I usually add just a bit more.)
  • 1 Deep Dish Pie Crust (You can use a store bought or make your own pie crust.)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350. In a mixing bowl, add the sugar and flour, stir together. Then add the slightly beaten eggs, milk, Karo syrup and vanilla extract. Mix together until all ingredients are incorporated together. Then add your pecans and stir together. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust and put into the preheated oven. Bake 55 minutes or until the middle of pie is set. Take out of oven and let sit for 20 minutes.
